Question re "Project existed prior to the Hackathon Submission Period"

A month ago we just launched to the marketplace an initial version of a forge app we think could be a perfect fit for this. We still have many features we want to add in future versions.
I was wondering whether a new version of an existing app would qualify?

Reading the rules I found this:
"New & Existing: Projects must be either newly created by the Entrant, not yet published prior to The Hackathon Submission Period, or, **if the Project existed prior to the Hackathon Submission Period, must have been updated** or rebuilt in the Forge platform after the start of the Hackathon Submission Period."

I guess it would? I just wanted to be sure it does, to understand what options we have. Whether we work on a new version or come up with something entirely new.

    Hi David,
    Thanks for asking this in advance! Yes, this would be okay but please note that within your submission on Devpost you will need to describe what changes were made during the hackathon and why those changes constitute substantial updates.

    We would like to apply through www.projectcopilot.co. Our current application assists in writing Epics, User Stories, and SubTasks by utilizing previous Epics, User Stories, and SubTasks as context. As of today, September 28, 2023, we have initiated the process of extracting information from the associated Confluence space to enhance contextual understanding. In two weeks, we will be launching a new client app for Confluence, aimed at simplifying the creation of technical and design documents within Confluence. This initiative is designed to promote the generation of these documents, enhance project planning, and provide improved context for the creation of Epics, User Stories, and SubTasks within Jira.
    Do you consider this update substantial enough to qualify us for the Hackathon application?

    Hello Matias, I shared the description with the team and it seems like it is good to go. Just note that the submission will be judged based on the work that took place during the hackathon period, so you will want to clearly call that out in the submission on Devpost.
