Forge, Rest and GraphQL

Hello, two questions in one :)

- According to the rules: "Submissions must use Atlassian’s REST and GraphQL APIs to interact with user data in the users Atlassian tools."
rest AND graphQL ? Just to be sure, you mean rest AND/OR graphQL right?

- Are only Forge apps accepted? What about Connected Apps?

Thanks!

Great questions! Yes, the requirement should be REST AND/OR GraphQL and for this hackathon, we are only accepting Forge apps.

    Best of luck!

    Thank you Michelle!

A quick follow-up, can a hybrid app be allowed to participate in this hackathon? Meaning that the app have a public-facing page hosted on a server outside of the Atlassian ecosystem and a Backend hosted in Forge

The judges will be looking for apps that help the most Atlassian users (while using Atlassian products). This would mean the judges are looking for projects where a significant part of the user experience is within the UI of an Atlassian product.
It's OK to have part of your app as a remotely hosted, public facing page but it should have a strong integration with an Atlassian product (e.g. a public sign up form that uses a Forge app to create JSM tickets on the backend or something).
